Doha College Raises QAR 25,000 on Pink Day for Cancer Research
Doha College pulled out all the stops on Pink Day to raise funds for cancer research.Â
The theme is no stranger to the Doha College community, with both sad and hopeful stories having affected teachers, students and parents alike at some point, providing everyone with a motivation to support.Â
Students and staff wore every shade of pink to raise awareness, sold ribbons, and donated very generously to the school’s dedicated Charities Committee.Â
Across their Primary and Secondary, the fundraising efforts managed to reach an astounding QAR 25,840, which will be donated to charities that support cancer research.Â
It is inspiring to see the empathy and compassion that is clearly nurtured at Doha College, qualities that contribute to the creation of a supportive society.Â
Pink Day is an opportunity for students to tap into these qualities and translate them into action. The school wishes to thank their Charities Committee members, who worked with tirelessly to make the fundraiser happen, and to everyone who donated.
