DAAM and Katara Sign Funding Agreement to Support S'hail 2026

The Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) has signed a funding agreement with Katara - the Cultural Village Foundation to support S'hail 2026, the Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition. The agreement extends DAAM's long-running backing of the annual event as it prepares for its 10th edition from September 8 to 12.

Continued support for a major heritage event

DAAM will provide financial support to S'hail for the ninth consecutive year, continuing a partnership that began with the exhibition's second edition. The funding is intended to help sustain the event's development and reinforce its standing as a prominent regional gathering for falconers, hunting enthusiasts, specialists and exhibitors from Qatar and abroad.

What visitors can expect at S'hail 2026

S'hail is an annual specialist exhibition that combines commercial, cultural and heritage activities. Its programme features falcon auctions, hunting and travel equipment, traditional crafts and international cultural pavilions, while also creating opportunities for participants to exchange expertise and promote the heritage of falconry.

Supporting culture and sustainable development

The agreement highlights the role of DAAM and companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange in supporting cultural and heritage initiatives. According to the announcement, the partnership also contributes to sustainable development priorities aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030.

Established in 2010, DAAM has supported projects across cultural, social, sports and charitable fields. Contributions from public shareholding companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange are among the Fund's main financial resources, making those companies important partners in social development initiatives.

S'hail 2026 dates

The 10th Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition will take place from September 8 to 12, 2026, bringing together specialist exhibitors and visitors interested in falconry, hunting and Qatar's cultural heritage.
