Customs authorities at Hamad International Airport (HIA) foiled a passenger's attempt to smuggle banned substance into Qatar.Â
The customs of Hamad international airport has foiled the smuggling of 10.30 kg of prohibited tobacco which was hidden inside a passenger’s bag, the seized items were delivered to the competent authorities.

In a post on social media, Qatar Customs shared a photo of the items and stated that the prohibited tobacco, weighing 10.30KG, was found inside the passenger's bag.Â
The banned items were also seized and delivered to the authorities, according to Customs.Â
The authorities have been issuing continuous warnings against carrying illegal substances into the country.
Customs officers are provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
