Functional Fitness and HIIT Training
Functional fitness -- using bodyweight, kettlebells, resistance bands, and compound movements -- has grown significantly across Doha gyms in the past two years. It's efficient. A 30-minute HIIT circuit done properly outperforms 60 minutes on a treadmill for most fitness goals.
Several boutique studios now offer structured HIIT and CrossFit-style classes with trained coaches. For people who've been doing steady-state cardio for years and hit a plateau, this is usually the thing that breaks it.
