Awqaf Ministry
The Department of Hajj and Umrah of the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has launched a new online system for registering pilgrims, which allows offices to register each pilgrim and upload his data and the contract between the office and the pilgrim.
In a press conference today, the Department of Hajj and Umrah confirmed that the new system will enable the administration to review contracts between Hajj and Umrah offices and pilgrims in the event of any complaint, in addition to providing statistics on pilgrims from Qatar.
The department added that the approved campaigns will be listed on the website, explaining that the Hajj and Umrah offices will have the role of recording the data of the pilgrims. The new system includes a contract that guarantees the right of the pilgrim and the right of the office in case of any disagreement over the services provided.
Director of the Department of Hajj and Umrah at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs Ali bin Sultan Al Misifri said that the Umrah program links the Department of Hajj and Umrah and Umrah offices approved by the Ministry.
Al Misifri pointed out that after the office signs a contract with the pilgrim, it will upload a contract copy and the vaccination certificate to the new system. The pilgrims' data will assist the Department of Hajj and Umrah to conduct the statistics of the pilgrims, their nationality, and age.
