Apple Rolls Out New Operating Systems With AI-Powered Siri

Washington, September 15, 2026 : Apple has officially released its latest operating systems, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, visionOS 27, and macOS 27, following months of beta testing.

The updates introduce a range of new features and performance improvements across Apple devices, with the redesigned Siri AI emerging as one of the most notable additions.

Powered by Apple Intelligence, the updated Siri is designed to understand users’ personal context, recognize content displayed on their screens, and perform actions across supported apps. The improvements are intended to make interactions with Siri more conversational and context-aware.

Siri AI is initially being rolled out in English, with support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish expected to follow in October. Apple has not yet provided a timeline for Arabic-language support.

Apple said Siri AI and other new Apple Intelligence features will not initially be available in China, as the company continues to address local regulatory requirements. In the European Union, Siri AI will initially be unavailable on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, while users of Mac and Apple Vision Pro can access the feature when their devices are configured to use a supported language.

The new operating systems also bring further refinements to Apple's Liquid Glass design, additional Apple Intelligence capabilities, performance enhancements, and new features across the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro.

Apple has also announced a dedicated Siri app, although it will be introduced through a future software update rather than the initial operating-system release.

iOS 27 supports the iPhone 11 and newer models, as well as the second-generation iPhone SE and later. However, the new Siri AI capabilities require devices compatible with Apple Intelligence, meaning some iPhones capable of running iOS 27 will not support the AI features.

Meanwhile, macOS 27 “Golden Gate” is available exclusively for Macs powered by Apple silicon. Apple confirmed that macOS 26 was the final major macOS release to support Intel-based Macs, as well as Rosetta.

Apple noted that the new software updates may take some time to reach all eligible users as increased demand following the release places pressure on download availability.
