Antigen Test now available at private healthcare facilities in Qatar
FIFA Arab Cup fans under the age of 12 can now get their Antigen tests at special tournament rates from any private clinic, according to the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC).
In a Twitter post, the organisers stated that Antigen tests can be taken at any private clinic in Qatar at a special tournament rate, and not only PHCC Qatar centres.
It added that fans under the age of 12 attending FIFA ArabCup matches today are required to show negative rapid antigen test results upon entry to stadiums.Â
In an earlier update announced on December 3, the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) had announced that rapid antigen tests for spectators aged 12 and below attending FIFA Arab Cup matches could be done at five health centres including Al Khor, Al Thumama, Al Wajba, Al Leabaib and Al Wakrah.
Rapid antigen testing offers a fast and reasonably accurate screening test to detect COVID-19 virus antigens in the individual. The results are usually available within 15 minutes.
