Amiri Order Issued to Accept Government's Resignation
An Amiri order was issued in Kuwait, Tuesday, accepting the resignation of the government and assigning HH Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and his cabinet to act as caretaker government, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
On April 5, HH Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received the government's letter of resignation.
On Nov. 23, an Amiri order was issued to reappoint HH Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah as Prime Minister and task him to nominate members of the new cabinet, which was announced on Dec. 28, and included 15 ministers.
The Kuwaiti Cabinet submitted its resignation twice during the past year, as the Kuwaiti government ministers submitted their resignations to HH Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Jan. 12, 2021.
On Nov. 8, the Kuwaiti Prime Minister submitted his Cabinet's resignation letter to HH Amir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
