The Ministry Of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs (ADLSA), represented by the Department of Family Affairs, in cooperation with the General Tax Authority, organized an awareness lecture via Microsoft Times.
The lecture was presented by the Director of the Public Relations and Communication Department Bandar Mansour Al-Hawban, and the Head of the Taxpayer Support Department at the General Tax Authority Nasser Muhammad Radi, with the aim of educating entrepreneurs registered with productive families at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs.
The lecture aimed at educating productive families about the services of the General Tax Authority, which is represented in registering through the (electronic tax portal) for license holders, and it touched upon the methods of submitting a simplified tax return, with the awareness of project owners about the developments issued by the General Tax Authority on submitting a simplified tax return without the need for data approved by an accounting audit office, with clarification of the dates for submitting the tax return for productive families, as well as an explanation of the electronic tax portal and its role in facilitating the process of submitting a simplified tax return.
At the beginning of the lecture, Bandar Mansour Al-Hawban assured the owners of small and micro enterprises that home businesses and any commercial activity owned by a Qatari is not subject to tax, but he pointed out that a Qatari individual who has a home license or commercial registry is obligated to register on the website (electronic tax portal) to submit the declaration. saying in the same context that this declaration must be submitted before the end of the current month of August, and that whoever is late for this date will have to pay a financial penalty.
For his part, Nasser Muhammad Radi noted that the owner of the small or micro-enterprise must first register on a government website using the personal number, then all the companies registered in his name will appear as an entrepreneur, and then he has to enter the (electronic tax portal) website to register and submit a simplified tax return.
The lecture witnessed inquiries from the attendees focused on the violations registered with the General Tax Authority, and the issuance of the tax card, Nasser Muhammad Radi responded to that, pointing out that there is a violation in the event of delay in registering and submitting the simplified tax return, pointing out that it amounts to QR 20,000, after 60 days have passed from the date of issuance of the commercial registration or commercial license.
The Ministry is working to develop the work of productive families in order to reach a competitive local product, and is also keen to ensure the continuity of project owners in the local labor market and to contribute to the national economy with products of quality and develop the national identity.
