The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) held a symposium in cooperation with the Qatar Finance and Business Academy, entitled "Global trends in combating corruption" as part of the celebration of the International Anti-Corruption Day, which falls on Dec. 09 of each year.
ACTA's Head of the Control and Development Department Amal Ahmed Al Kuwari presented the efforts of the State of Qatar, represented by ACTA, and their alignment with global practices and international standards in the field of combating corruption and public integrity.
The symposium also reviewed a number of themes, the most important of which is "Global trends in combating corruption and promoting integrity," "Legal practices that deter corruption," "The rule of law and its importance in combating corruption and enhancing transparency," and "The importance of governance and promoting transparency globally."
The celebration of the 2021 International Anti-Corruption Day comes at a time of increasing pressures on the global economy following the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
