The FIM General Assembly re-elected Abdulrahman Abdullatif Al-Mannai, President of the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) and President of Lusail International Circuit, as a member of the FIM Board of Directors for the next four years.
Al Mannai won 70 percent of the total votes in the elections held on the sidelines of the FIM General Assembly meetings in Mallorca, Spain.
The FIM, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, is the governing body of motorcycling and the main driver of innovation and safety in this motorsport sector.
The Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) has strengthened its position on the global motorsports map over the past years under the chairmanship of Abdulrahman Al Mannai.
The Lusail International Circuit in Qatar has hosted many high-profile local and international events and championships in the field of motorcycle racing, including the Qatar Airways MotoGP Grand Prix, the Qatar Superstock 600 Championship, the Qatar Supersport 300 Championship, and the Mini GP race, in addition to various initiatives under the supervision of the Qatar Motor Sports Academy with the aim of nurturing promising talents and distinguished Qatari youth in the field of motors ports.Â
