HE African Cup of Nations C么te d'Ivoire - COCAN 2024 Organizing Committee Chairman Dr. Amecia Francois Albert praised the amazing and advanced preparations of the State of Qatar, with less than a month and a half remaining until the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.

HE Dr. Albert is heading an Ivorian delegation currently visiting Doha in order to coordinate and cooperate in preparing for the organization of the African Cup of Nations, which will be hosted by his country in January 2024, and acquainting with the Qatari experiences and the final arrangements for Qatars hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, especially since the two countries are linked by a joint sports cooperation protocol that was recently concluded.

HE Dr. Amecia Francois Albert, in an exclusive interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA), thanked the State of Qatar for the warm welcome he received, and his accompanying delegation since their arrival, stating that this reflects the depth of relations between the two countries, noting that the main reason for the visit is to see the Qatari preparations for hosting the World Cup and to benefit from the experiences of the State of Qatar in organizing sporting events.

"Through our review and our visit to some of the stadiums of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, we noticed the extent of the efforts made which demonstrate Qatar's readiness to host the tournament", he said, praising, in this context, the stadiums, training grounds, areas for fans and many places to stay, in addition to the great development of road infrastructure which will create a lasting legacy for Qatar, the Middle East, Asia and the world.

Dr. Amecia expressed his happiness with the level of progress made by the State of Qatar in preparing to organize the tournament, pointing out that he had previously seen the plans of preparations to host the World Cup, but what he saw on the ground was really amazing, as Doha won the bet and continued to excel and progress. "I was confident in Qatar's ability to innovate and leave a special mark in the world of sports, and now my confidence is greater than before" he added.

He said that Qatar has the potential to host a distinguished tournament, thanks to the good preparation for the historic tournament, which is being held for the first time in the region, explaining that the tournament will reflect the distinguished culture of the Qatari people, and will have a special heritage character.

African Cup of Nations C么te d'Ivoire - COCAN 2024 Organizing Committee Chairman also wished that the African teams would provide technical levels that reflect the development of football on the continent, and that one of the African teams would succeed in reaching advanced roles in the tournament, especially that the African continent has highly skilled players.

For his part, advisor to the officer for cooperation and exchange with Arab countries Aljunied Ezid Bey, said that on behalf of the African Cup of Nations C么te d'Ivoire - COCAN 2024 Organizing Committee Chairman, I can only express my utmost gratitude to the State of Qatar for the warm welcome, and extend my thanks and appreciation to HE President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmad Al-Thani, and CEO of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Nasser Al Khater.

"We note the satisfaction of the football family in C么te d'Ivoire for the positive results achieved during this visit, especially with regard to benefiting from the experience of the State of Qatar in organizing the World Cup and enhancing sports cooperation between the two countries. We congratulate the brothers in Qatar for the great work that has been achieved with regard to the various facilities and stadiums that we were honored to visit" he added.

It is worth noting that the C么te d'Ivoire delegation met during this visit with HE President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmad Al-Thani. The two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest, ways to enhance cooperation between the two parties and moving forward in developing bilateral relations in the field of football.

The two sides aim to invest and develop the solid relations to broader horizons of close cooperation, and to enhance ways of exchanging experiences and resources between them, while at the same time strengthening the fields of football development in both countries.

The Ivorian delegation also visited the pavilion of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy "The Pavilion" in Al-Bidaa tower, and was briefed on the latest preparations for hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and the organizational expertise and enormous potential that Qatar has by looking at models that simulate the stadiums, facilities and stadiums of the World Cup, which prove the philosophy of football and what it inspires, and the great legacy it will leave not only for Qatar, but for the entire region.

The delegation also had a field tour, during which it inspected the stadiums of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and also visited the Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence, and was briefed on the latest global services it offers in developing young people in various sports disciplines, both academically and athletically, and acquainted with its advanced facilities, which include the latest technologies used in the world of sports and the Football Performance Center.
