Women's Circle: A Sheraton Doha x Anahi experience will be hosting 'Women in Film - Centering Young Women as Storytellers' at 6:00 PM today at Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel. The Entry fees will be 50 QAR.
The panel discussion will bring together 14 women who will share, discuss, and tell their film-making stories.
The event will take place in the Dukhan Meeting room at the hotel. Conversations around storytelling, film-making, and more will take place.
'Women in Film - Centering Young Women as Storytellers' highlights how the Short Film Lab empowers, mentors, and encourages a team of 14 multinational young women who reside in Qatar.
The young women wrote, filmed, and edited their first movie that was inspired by themes that influenced their lives.
The Film Lab is funded by the Community Grants program from the US Embassy in Doha.
The panelists will include Hend Fakhroo, Qatari filmmaker; Dr. Mohana Rajakumar, Short Film Lab Founder; and Fateema Al Hamaydeh, Mentor, Screenwriter & Director.
The Women's Circle comes under the "'Together We're Better' initiative, a CSR program by Marriott and Anahi Ortiz-Prieto is a self-worth coach who has hosted several events that are aimed at empowering and bringing women together.
It is worth noting that on June 11, the Women's Circle will also be having activites marking the occasion of the global wellness day. It will be held at Sheraton Fitness.
