The Main Media Center
Media representatives covering the matches and events of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 praised the services provided at the Main Media Center.
Located in Msheireb, the Center is a major meeting place for 2,000 accredited media professionals. It provides journalists and photographers with a range of services and facilities, including workspaces, areas for holding press conferences, a camera loan and maintenance service, as well as a rest area.
Transportation services are also available for accredited media representatives between the Center, stadiums, and team training sites on a regular basis, ensuring that media professionals are provided with all the facilities that help them fully carry out their tasks.
Neeladri Bhattacharjee, a sports journalist at Hindu Sportstar, one of the most widely circulated English-language magazines in India, expressed the importance of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 as it is a major event that brings together the best teams in Asia.Bhattacharjee, who is in Qatar to cover the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 for the first time in his career, said that the excellent working conditions helped him provide great reports about the tournament from the field directly to the rest of the world.
He pointed out that the Main Media Center provides high-level and ideal services for journalists who come to Qatar to cover the tournament, as there is a high-speed internet connection service, rest facilities, and technical support for photographers.
Eden Ko, a journalist at HK01, a leading news website in Hong Kong, said that the Main Media Center is an essential place that has all that a journalist needs to provide important press reports to football fans in her country. She expressed her pride in covering the matches and that the Center has provided her with all the tools she needs to work on reports that convey a full picture of the sporting event.
She stated that people in charge of the Center are working to provide all means and facilities for journalists, including transportation services that help them move with ease and comfort, meet the football fans who have come from all over Asia, as well as visit training sites and stadiums to cover matches without having to worry about the long distance.
Zaid Benjamin, an independent Iraqi journalist who covered the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, said that the media services provided to journalists in the Center as well as in various locations are at the same level as the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
He sees that Qatar is steadily moving upward in hosting tournaments that meet the highest approved standards while providing modern and well-equipped facilities such as the Main Media Center at Msheireb, which in turn represents a key aspect in achieving successful hosting at all levels.
