Shipping to Qatar
Thinking of shipping some items to and from Qatar? What items are restricted for shipment in this country? Here’s what you need to know:
According to the national provider of postal services, Qatar Post, Â here is a list of prohibited goods or items NOT allowed for shipment in the State of Qatar:
• All kinds of alcohol / Flammable sanitizers
• All tobacco products, including but not limited to Cigars, E-cigars, E-liquids, etc.
• Any external battery/power bank for smartphones or tablets devices
• Intoxicating liquors
• Motor vehicles
• Petroleum products
• Any type of standalone batteries
• Any additional battery/batteries that is packed in the same package but separated from the device
• Alcohol products and beverages Item(s) would be discard at Origin and unable to process the returns or redirect to another address
• Audio speakers
• Counterfeit goods
• Diamonds
• Electronic device which contains battery purchased from Ebay .individual seller
• Engine oils/ essential oils
• Fuels. Gasoline and gas torches
• Flammable and toxic content products (e.g. electronic cigarettes, etc.)
• Infectious substances
• Laser apparatus such as laser pointers that are found to have emission powers (requires appropriate licenses from NEA)
• Lighters with or without fuel/fluids
• Magnets
• Munitions of war
• Meat of animal extracts
• Nail polish and nail polish removal
• Narcotic drugs
• Pornographic materials
• Perishable foods
• Precious metals and Gemstones
• Paper currency, coins, credit cards and cheques
• Perfumes, colognes, eau de toilette and fragrance sprays
• Plant seeds
• Printer cartridges
• Radioactive materials
• Sprays, aerosol cans compressed gas cylinders
• Turpentine and paint thinner
• Weapons (swords/knives/guns, etc.)
• Prescription medications
• Used automotive parts cannot be shipped, which include wet or leaking parcels; parcels emitting odor of any kind
• Letters, except those exchanged between the sender and the addressee of the parcel or person residing with them
• Pork of all kinds and its derivatives
• Products which composition includes pork fat or pork meat
• Perishable substances harmful to health and unfit for human consumption
• Three – layer fishing nets, the smallest with a mesh of 4cm
• Remote controlled airplanes for children
• Instruments for games of chance
• Substances polluted by radioactivity or nuclear dust
• Musical greeting cards
• Garments bearing the name of the divinity or verses of the Koran
• Military or similar clothing
• Fetid substances
• Postal items containing powder
• Items containing liquid products
• Fireworks
• Products which violate public morals and the security of the state
• Dry and fresh agricultural items
• Insecticides for agricultural use
• Chemical products for local industries
• Radiophone transmitters/receivers
• Headlights for automobiles
• Portable long distance telephones
• Instruments for weighing and measuring
• Animals
Items not mentioned above are permitted, however, can also be subject for review from your local shipping provider.Â
The following goods may be imported into Qatar without incurring customs duty:
• 400 cigarettes
• personal items and gifts up to a value of QR3,000
• for personal use only: used video camera, photo camera, mobile, and laptop
