Flying drone
Drones are the latest obsession and everyone wants to have one. People have come up with various ways to use drones - shooting videos, clicking pictures, delivering food, and so much more.
Now, a man named Hunter Kowald built a drone that could carry people. Yes, you read that right.Â
The New York resident has named it The SkySurfer - he was seen circling the streets of New York City. A video of Hunter was shared on Twitter with the caption, "A flying drone spotted on road. Looks amazing."

Hunter was seen donning an outfit - he has been interested in flying objects ever since he was a kid. His father had a pilot's license and he did a lot of flying as a child. His interest escalated as he grew older.
"I was nine years old in the backseat of my parents’ car when I first started sketching some sort of hoverboard. I actually still have the drawings. My dad had a pilot’s license, and I would go on flights with him when I was young. I guess the idea was always somewhere in the back of my mind, and I always had a passion for flight. Later, as I studied mechanical engineering and mathematics, then worked in the industrial world doing design, the concept of building something like that became more real," Hunter was quoted as saying by InsideHook.
Talking about building the SkySurfer, he said, "I didn’t realize how time-consuming this process would be when I first started, or I probably wouldn’t have started to begin with. I got in too deep, and at a certain point the only option I had was making this happen. I was waiting months sometimes for pieces to be manufactured internationally and sent to me."
"The first time I was standing onboard the platform I was very aware of all of the craziness going on below me. The propellers spin faster than the speed of sound and are able to compensate for any outside forces. During the first four feet off the ground there is tons of rattling and shaking. Ground force is coming back at you, and the movements are aggressive," he added.
"Every time that I fly I am getting better at it and getting more aggressive. I feel like I have pretty good balance, because I was on a competitive snowboarding team. The best way to describe the sensation for me is it’s like snowboarding, and skydiving in a wind tunnel," he said.Â
