Qatar Airport Passport Department's Services List of Visa Fees and Their Validity

The main function of the Airport Passport Department of Qatar’s Ministry of Interior (MoI) is to organize the entry and exit of the passengers from and to the country through Hamad International Airport and other airports.

The department is also administering the issuance of different visas including Visa on Arrival, Visit Visa for GCC Residents, Oman Joint Tourist Visas, Entry Visas for those Accompanying a GCC Resident, Visa in Advance, and New Born Baby Visas.

There are different visa fees and validity per category. Find them out from the list below:

A tourist visa for (businessmen) is valid for one month and a maximum of three months.

1- A tourist visa for a month (not extendable)

2- Tourist visa for GCC residents (for one month, and extendable for three months)

Issuing or extending entry visas for the expatriates accompanying citizen of the GCC (for one month and a maximum of six months).

4. 

Issuing or extending of a joint entry visa between the governments of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman (for a month, and extendable for a similar period)

A- Issuing a return visa:

 

Domestic servants on personal sponsorship who have valid residence permits and have spent more than six months outside the country

     200 per month

A resident of Qatar who has a valid residence permit and his/her passport is lost/damaged while he/she is outside of the country

     200 per month

B-Issuing a return visa for the resident of Qatar (wife/children) who has a valid residence permit, stays for more than 6 months outside the country, and has prior approval to enter

     500 per month

Visa and Travel Tips

• Ensure the validity of the passport to the countries to which you are travelling, because the airport passport department does not stop travel to it, but some airlines and countries do not accept travelers if their passport validity is less than 6 or 3 months.
• One should leave the country within 7 days after canceling his residence permit; otherwise, he will be fined 10 QAR per day.
• Visit Visas: Make sure the duration of stay in the country from the sticker that is put with the stamp in the passport, as there is a fine of 200 QAR per day in case of overstay.
