Ukraine announced Thursday that it closed its airspace to civilian flights due to a high risk to safety.
The Ukrainian News Agency (Ukrinform) reported that the Civil-Military Air Traffic Management System took urgent measures to close the airspace of Ukraine for civil airspace users due to the high risk of aviation security for civil aviation.
In accordance with the requirements of the Ukrainian Air Law, urgent measures were taken to close the airspace to its users and to suspend the provision of air traffic services to civilian users, the report added.Â
