Qatar Meteorology Department has warned of thunderstorms and strong sudden winds on Wednesday and Thursday as different parts of the country witnessed slight to heavy rainfall on Wednesday.
"The country is currently affected by a low air pressure with partly cloudy to cloudy conditions and thunderstorms that continue over the weekend, reaching their peak on Wednesday evening and until Thursday daytime, being between moderate to heavy in intensity," the Met department said in a social media post.
There is a possibility of hailstones falling at times and accompanied by sudden strong winds that may cause dust to rise in some areas, the weather office added.
The Civil Aviation Authority (Meteorological Department) has called on everyone to be cautious and follow safety guidelines during thunderstorms and stressed the importance of receiving information from official sources.
