The Ministry seizes undocumented falcons at Hamad International Airport.

Undocumented Falcons Seized at HIA

In compliance with the regulations set forth in Resolution No. 7 of 2007, which specifically outlines the procedures and requirements for the importation of falcons, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has taken the step of confiscating a number of falcons at the Hamad International Airport. This action has been necessitated by the fact that these falcons lacked the essential import documents as mandated by the resolution.

In light of this situation, the Ministry earnestly appeals to falcon owners to be diligent in acquiring the necessary and legally mandated documentation before embarking on any travel plans involving their falcons. It is of paramount importance that all individuals involved in falconry adhere to these regulations to ensure the welfare and conservation of these magnificent birds.

Furthermore, the Ministry would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their cooperation and understanding in this matter. These measures have been put in place to safeguard the well-being of falcons and to maintain the integrity of the ecosystem, and your support in upholding these standards is greatly appreciated.
