Qatar Sends Second Fuel Shipment to Lebanese Military
The Lebanese Army has received the second shipment of diesel and gasoline sent by the Qatar Fund for Development, which arrived at the port of Beirut in the Lebanese Republic, aimed at supporting the Lebanese Army.
According to the agreement, Qatar will supply the Lebanese army with diesel and gasoline worth $30 million for a duration of six months.
This assistance reflects Qatar's steadfast dedication to supporting the institutions of the Lebanese Republic and standing in solidarity with the people of Lebanon.
The initial shipment arrived on September 28, 2023, and subsequent batches will follow in the upcoming months.
At the end of August 2023, the Qatar Fund for Development revealed an agreement to provide fuel to the Lebanese Army, in addition to its earlier support for the Lebanese Ministry of Health. The fund covered the costs of diesel for several healthcare facilities in Lebanon.
