Alia Bhatt Serves Looks at the DJWE Exhibition
The Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition (DJWE) opened this week in Doha for its 2022 edition.
Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani inaugurated the 18th edition of the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition (DJWE) at the Doha Exhibition Center on Monday, May 9, 2022.
Among those present at the opening were their Excellencies the Sheikhs and Ministers, diplomats, officials, businessmen, and representatives of the exhibiting companies.
“For nearly two decades, DJWE has successfully attracted a growing number of global luxury brands and industry experts, cementing its position as the only business-to-consumer show of its kind in the region, directly connecting brands with customers'' Said Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Tourism Chairman, and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive.
Alia Bhatt, one of Bollywood's rising stars and leading actresses, was invited to inaugurate the exhibition after being chosen as the face of the exhibition.
During the inauguration, Bhatt wore an elegant white pantsuit by Harith Hashim, with a full-length cape. She finished off her look with diamond earrings and a beautiful green necklace.Â
The Mumbai based actress has achieved global success and has played prominent movie roles in several blockbuster movies such as 2 States (2014)
Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), RRR (2022) which saw a lot of success in Doha's cinemas recently.
Bhatt started her career at an early age in 1999. She comes from the talented Bhatt family, as she is the daughter of director Mahesh Bhatt and Actress Soni Razda.
The DJWE exhibits over 500 brands from more than ten countries and has a pavilion dedicated to Indian exhibitors and a Turkish pavilion with five exhibitors.Â
The exhibition is a unique opportunity for visitors to gain insight into the science behind jewelry and watchmaking, as they network with others who share the same passion.Â
For 17 years, DWJE has brought together some of the best jewelry and watch designers in the world while promoting Qatar's tourism and luxury sectors.Â
Additionally, it supports young Qatari designers who have their own dedicated floor space to showcase their talents.Â
