Hospitality Qatar's 8th edition starts on November 6, 2023, at DECC

The 8th edition of Hospitality Qatar, the premier International Trade Exhibition and Conference for HOREC, F&B, and tourism in the country, is set to begin at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) on Monday, November 6, 2023. The event will feature over 150 exhibitors from suppliers and service providers in the hospitality, hotels, restaurants, cafes, and food and beverage sectors, representing more than 17 different countries.

Throughout its evolution, Hospitality Qatar has broadened its offerings to cater to the increasing demand in the sector, both domestically and globally. This expansion includes a conference, training initiatives, specialized competitions, and a B2B matchmaking program that connects key market players with potential buyers and investors.

This year's edition will witness the participation of 70 local companies and 80 international companies. Additionally, there will be 5 official national pavilions, including the Kuwaiti National Pavilion supported by the Public Authority for Industry, the Turkish Pavilion supported by the Ministry of Commerce, and the Iranian Pavilion supported by the Trade Promotion Organization. Furthermore, 20 embassies will join the event to showcase their tourism destinations and programs.

IFP Qatar, the organizers, have planned an array of activities for this year's event. The program features various training sessions and workshops, a barista competition in collaboration with the well-known coffee brand Corona, the Restaurant’s Choice Awards presented by talabat, and the eagerly awaited Salon Culinaire competition along with live cooking demonstrations.

Excelledia-accredited training workshops, offered for free, will focus on vital industry topics such as customer service excellence, food safety, hygiene, and management. Hospitality Qatar's goal with this program is to equip industry professionals with essential knowledge and skills. This initiative aims to enhance the overall quality of hospitality and tourism establishments in Qatar."

Corona's Barista Competition will showcase the exceptional talents of Doha's top baristas, with international experts arriving in Qatar exclusively for this thrilling event.

In response, talabat joins this year's Hospitality Qatar as the 'Food Technology Partner.' Francisco Miguel De Sousa, talabat's Managing Director in Qatar, commented on the partnership:

“We would like to thank IFP Qatar for organizing the Hospitality Qatar 2023 and are happy to support this iconic event as its official Food Tech partner. This partnership aligns with our ongoing commitment to be an integral part of Qatar’s vibrant culinary scene and connect with as many local and international stakeholders as possible in the food, tech and hospitality sectors.”

Alongside the commercial, professional, and educational aspects featured in these events, culinary enthusiasts can delight in live cooking competitions and demonstrations spanning three days. Over 150 chefs from Doha's top hotels will compete in 20 diverse categories at the Salon Culinaire competition. Qatar's most talented chefs will present inventive recipes, catering to a wide range of tastes for the event's visitors.

In brief, Hospitality Qatar 2023 comprises an exhibition, conference, training workshops, awards ceremony, diverse competitions, and live performances, all centered around the hospitality, tourism, and food sectors. It stands as a must-attend event.
