Temporary Tunnel Closures Announced by Ashghal for Maintenance on January 2 and 3, 2025

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced the temporary closure of two key tunnels to facilitate essential maintenance work, with alternative routes provided to minimize inconvenience.

Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange Tunnel

Starting tomorrow, January 2, 2025, the Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange Tunnel will be closed to traffic heading from Gharrafat Al Rayyan towards Doha.

Closure Time: Midnight to 5:00 AM (8 hours).

Alternative Route: Motorists are advised to use the Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange signals as a substitute route during the closure.

Mesaimeer Interchange Tunnel

On Friday, January 3, 2025, the Mesaimeer Interchange Tunnel will be temporarily closed to traffic heading from Mesaieed Road towards the Industrial Area Road.

Closure Time: 2:00 AM to 10:00 AM (8 hours).

Alternative Routes: Drivers are encouraged to follow the detours outlined on Ashghal's official map.
