A delegation from the Shura Council participated in the meetings of the permanent committees of the Arab Parliament, held in Cairo on Thursday in preparation for holding the 5th plenary session of the 4th session of the Third Legislative Term of the Arab Parliament, scheduled for Saturday.
The committees in which the Shura Council participated include the Social, Educational, Cultural, Women and Youth Affairs Committee, the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee, the Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Affairs Committee, and the Foreign, Political and National Security Affairs Committee.
The committees discussed a number of items on the agenda of the 5th plenary session of the Arab Parliament, including the latest developments in work on the Arab strategy for developing school environment, the third draft of an indicative Arab draft law to combat the phenomenon of bullying in the Arab world, and the first draft of an indicative Arab draft law to combat the phenomenon of illegal immigration in the Arab world, in addition to reviewing a number of reports related to the work of the committees.
The Shura Council had participated last Tuesday in the meeting of the Palestine Committee in the Arab Parliament, where the meeting discussed the latest developments in Palestine, the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
