Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, attended the 2025 Mentor Arabia Gala Dinner, held in collaboration with EAA. The event gathered global leaders, dignitaries, and philanthropists to support youth empowerment and sustainable community development.
Among the distinguished attendees were Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden, President of Mentor International, and His Royal Highness Prince Turki Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of Mentor Arabia, who hosted the prestigious evening. The gala provided a platform to highlight the critical role of young people in shaping sustainable societies and raised essential funds to support initiatives focused on education, skills development, and employment opportunities.
A Night of Philanthropy and Purpose
Held at Katara Hall in Raffles Doha, the event was an inspiring blend of impactful discussions, cultural performances celebrating resilience and creativity, and an exclusive charity auction led by renowned international auctioneer Simon de Pury. The evening also provided guests with a unique opportunity to connect with influential policymakers, business leaders, and change-makers who share a commitment to investing in youth for a better future.
During her address, Her Highness Sheikha Moza praised Mentor Arabia’s efforts in empowering Arab youth, emphasizing their crucial role in shaping the future of the region. She remarked, “I commend and thank Mentor Arabia for their dedication to empowering Arab youth, who are the true wealth of our nations. Today, more than ever, young people need hope for their future—a future where they can thrive and contribute actively to the progress of their countries. From an economic perspective, failing to invest in young people and provide them with job opportunities represents a significant loss of a nation’s most valuable resource.”
Strategic Partnerships for Youth Development
Sheikha Moza highlighted the collaboration between EAA and Mentor Arabia, which aims to support youth empowerment initiatives in Qatar and Lebanon. “We look forward to a productive partnership between Mentor Arabia and the EAA Foundation, enabling young people to drive sustainable development forward,” she said.
The two organizations are launching a new initiative to enhance youth employment and skill development in Qatar and Lebanon. Over the next four years, this program will create pathways to education and employment for more than 8,000 young individuals, bridging the gap between academic qualifications and real-world job opportunities across diverse industries.
Global Voices Championing Youth Empowerment
Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden reinforced the importance of investing in young people, stating, “Youth are the foundation of sustainable communities and the architects of a brighter future. By equipping them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and support, we not only secure their personal development but also ensure the resilience and prosperity of entire societies.”
His Royal Highness Prince Turki Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud emphasized the value of collaboration, noting, “We are proud of our strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in Qatar, such as Education Above All and the Akhlaquna Program at Qatar Foundation. These alliances enable us to reach a larger number of children and youth, making a tangible and lasting impact on their lives.”
Supporting the Future of Youth Employment
Proceeds from the Mentor Arabia Gala Dinner 2025 will directly fund the Youth Empowerment and Employment for Development (YEED) Project, a joint initiative by EAA and Mentor Arabia. This program is dedicated to equipping thousands of young people in Qatar and Lebanon with essential skills, mentorship opportunities, and sustainable employment pathways, ultimately fostering long-term socio-economic growth.
Additionally, during the event, eight young entrepreneurs were honored as winners of the fourth edition of the ‘Mentor Arabia Youth Social Entrepreneurs Award.’ These individuals were recognized for their outstanding contributions to sustainable social and human development. As part of their commitment to giving back, they will mentor and inspire peers across Qatar and the Arab world.
A Collective Commitment to Youth and Sustainable Development
The success of the event was made possible through the support of key sponsors and partners, including Visionary Partners: Katara Hospitality, Qatar Airways, Doha Bank, and Lulu Group; Elite Partners: Place Vendôme and Chopard; and Honored Partners: Vodafone Qatar, Abdulghani Motors, Marriott Worldwide Business Councils Qatar, Snoonu, Floward, Elaan, Al Majed Jewellery, Lesha Bank, and Alsraiya Group. Their contributions underscored a shared dedication to creating opportunities for young people and supporting sustainable development initiatives.
Under the theme #Towards_Sustainable_Communities, the Mentor Arabia Gala Dinner 2025 was a powerful testament to the shared mission of the EAA Foundation and Mentor Arabia. By fostering education, mentorship, and employment opportunities, both organizations continue to work towards a future where young people can thrive and lead positive change in their communities.
