Free Seasonal Influenza Vaccine in Qatar

A number of health sector doctors in the State of Qatar have stressed the importance of community segments receiving the seasonal influenza vaccination, particularly segments with chronic diseases, with the aim of protecting and preventing them from having severe symptoms accompanying infection with seasonal influenza. They emphasized that the vaccine is safe and effective.

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) explained that the annual seasonal influenza vaccine is safe and effective and may help in protecting person from influenza infection. MOPH noted that the vaccine is available free in 28 health centers and above 45 private healthcare facilities all over the State through the annual seasonal influenza vaccination campaign that begun on 1 September 2021.
