Following the "huge success" of its Phase 1 and 2 in the distinct and modern island with a unique design, Qetaifan Projects, which is fully owned by Katara Hospitality, has announced the "sales launch" of its Phase 3 residential villa plots in Qetaifan Island North.

Qetaifan Projects managing director Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman al-Thani announced the "sales launch" of Phase 3 residential villa plots in Qetaifan Island North at a media event on Sunday, saying there will be a total of 40 villa plots, including beach access villas, waterfront villas, garden view villas, and, for the first time, villas overlooking Qetaifan Island North's Linear Canal.

A number of plots will be offered for the first time, allowing owners to build villas with privacy and access to a distinctive view of Qetaifan Island North's Linear Canal and the sea, in addition to beach access, waterfront, and garden view villas, Sheikh Nasser said.

The plot sizes range from 1,000 to 2,060 square meters. The waterfront plots are between 1,020 and 1,250 square meters, while the garden view plots are up to 1,200 square meters.

The design of villas allows the owners to construct ground floor in addition to two floors including the first floor and a penthouse. Owners could also build a basement, should they prefer.

The villa plots are in the northern side of the island with access to the beach and overlooking Qetaifan Island North’s Linear Canal.

Non-Qataris can buy the plots on a free-hold basis, he said and noted those who have not had the chance to own plots in Phase 1 and 2, can buy it at competitive prices and financing facilities.

“To guarantee transparency and in accordance with the principle of equal opportunities, we will be following the bidding mechanism on the down payment in a ceremony that all clients who reserved a plot will attend,” he said.

Sheikh Nasser said, “We consider the development of Qetaifan Island North a unique experience and a success story with its residents and visitors, which we keep in mind as developers. The most prominent feature of this experience is the diversity of the real estate products on the island. In addition to hotels, recreational and retail facilities, there is a school and a medical centre, to provide residents and visitors with all the needed amenities.”

He added, "The dream is about to come true, the work on site is under way round-the-clock. More than 7,000 workers and seven contractors are implementing seven different project packages. The teams have put in all their efforts to present this project in a way that suits Qatar as the first Arab country hosting the FIFA World Cup.

“Everyone works sincerely and with dedication, believing in the importance of this project, its promising future, the diversity it will add to sectors such as tourism and hospitality, and how it will contribute to the future of the entertainment industry. This will stimulate domestic tourism and attract tourists from all over the world. One of our most important achievements, which we are proud of, is our 90% reliance on the local market."

Replying to a question by Gulf Times, Nasser Hassan al-Ansari, chairman and CEO of Just Real Estat said the villa plots at Qetaifan Island North will be sold on a free-hold basis.

"There is a huge demand for properties at Qetaifan Island North, which we have seen in the first two phases. What makes this project unique is the size and location of the project. The prices are also competitive. We have seen huge demand for the project from expatriates in Qatar and outside," al-Ansari noted.
