Environment Minister meets Kyrgyz Ambassador

DOHA — Qatar and the Kyrgyz Republic have discussed bilateral cooperation in the fields of environment and climate, as the two countries continue efforts to strengthen relations in areas of shared interest.

HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie met with HE Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the State of Qatar Aibek Toktobolotov in Doha on August 16, according to Qatar News Agency (QNA).

Environment and Climate Cooperation in Focus

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation relating to environmental and climate matters and discussed ways of supporting engagement in these areas.

The talks also covered a number of topics of mutual interest. QNA did not announce specific agreements, projects or new initiatives arising from the meeting.

Strengthening Bilateral Dialogue

The meeting reflects continuing diplomatic engagement between Qatar and the Kyrgyz Republic and provides an opportunity for officials to exchange views on environmental and climate priorities.

Environmental protection and climate-related cooperation have become increasingly important areas of international dialogue, with countries working together on sustainability, conservation and responses to climate challenges.
