Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari, Adviser to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held talks in Berlin on Tuesday with HE Wolfgang Silbermann, Director‑General of the Foreign Policy Department at the Office of the Federal President of Germany.
The meeting reflected the growing momentum in Qatar–Germany relations, with both sides reviewing avenues to deepen cooperation across political, economic, and cultural fields. Officials emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties in a way that supports shared interests and contributes to stability in the wider region.
Discussions also touched on pressing regional developments, with particular focus on Pakistani mediation efforts between the United States and Iran. Both parties exchanged perspectives on the potential of dialogue to ease tensions and highlighted the need for constructive engagement to achieve sustainable outcomes.
Dr. Al Ansari reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to supporting mediation initiatives and underscored Doha’s consistent role in promoting dialogue as a means of resolving disputes peacefully. He noted that Qatar values Germany’s position as a key partner in international diplomacy and welcomed continued coordination on issues of mutual concern.
The talks were attended by HE Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al Hamar, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Germany, who stressed the importance of maintaining close communication channels between Doha and Berlin.
