Qatar's Nasser Al Attiyah and navigator Mathieu Baumel dominate the 2023 Dubai Baja.

On November 12, 2023, the Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) declared Nasser Al Attiyah and navigator Mathieu Baumel as the champions of the 2023 Dubai International Baja.

Teamed up with French navigator Mathieu Baumel in the "Prodrive Hunter" car, Al Attiyah secured the top spot in the overall standings at Baja Dubai, clocking a total time of 5:22:52.3 hours. He maintained a lead of +5:13.9 minutes over his closest rival, Saudi driver Yazid Al-Rajhi, who finished second with a total time of 5:28:06.2 hours.

Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah conveyed his immense joy upon clinching the Baja World Cup Championship title, a feat he essentially achieved during the sixth round in Portugal.

The Qatari driver elaborated that securing the World Desert Rally Championship (Baja) is a seamless extension of his 2023 accomplishments. Starting with the Dakar International Rally triumph, followed by the Middle East Championship title, and culminating in the World Desert Rally Championship title (Rally RED), he expressed optimism in sustaining these achievements in the upcoming year. Additionally, it was revealed that the victory was achieved with their latest "Prodrive" car.
