Qatar's General Tax Authority Holds Specialised Workshops for Audit Firms to Boost Tax Compliance

The General Tax Authority (GTA) of Qatar has organised a series of specialised workshops for audit firms, aimed at strengthening technical competencies and promoting compliance with tax regulations and best practices.

The workshops were held at the GTA's headquarters in Doha and brought together more than 50 auditors and representatives from various audit firms across the country.
Through interactive sessions, participants were introduced to the latest legislative and procedural developments in Qatar's tax landscape. The programme was designed to blend both theoretical knowledge and practical application, with a clear focus on building professional capacity, deepening understanding of tax regulations, and achieving greater consistency in how those regulations are applied across the industry.

The GTA said the workshops also serve as part of a broader integrated plan to unify technical concepts and their application in practice, strengthen adherence to approved procedures, enrich specialised knowledge within the profession, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and keep pace with emerging trends in the tax environment.
According to the Authority, the initiative reflects its ongoing commitment to fostering a cooperative relationship with audit firms as key partners in supporting tax compliance and raising the overall quality of professional practices in Qatar.
