Latest Update on Covid-19 cases in Qatar
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today reported 149Â new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and 104 recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovered people in Qatar to 239,147.
Out of the 149Â new cases, 133Â are community cases and 16Â from travellers returning from abroad.
The total COVID-19 death toll in the country is now at 611.
The total number of positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Qatar till now is 241,527 and there are 1,769 active cases under treatment.
A total of 5,531 people were tested for the first time in the last 24 hours (17,669Â tests in total) taking the total tests done so far to 2,923,056 tests.
There were no new admissions in intensive care (ICU) in the last 24 hours and 12 people continued to receive medical attention in ICU.
There were 6 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total number of patients in the hospital to 99.
A total of 4,894,936 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered to community members since the start of the vaccination programme.
A total of 5,353 of Covid-19 vaccines were administered during the past 24 hours.

With the recent increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:
• Adherence to physical distancing.
• Avoid close contact with others, crowded places and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.
• Wearing a face mask
• Washing hands regularly.
• Anyone suffering from COVID-19 symptoms should contact the 16000 helpline immediately.Â
This is important as the earlier the disease is detected the easier it will be to receive the right treatment and recover from it.
