On Monday, 15 June 2026 the National Planning Council announced that the State of Qatar has been rated first in the Middle East and North Africa region and fifth globally, according to the findings released today on the 2026 Global Peace Index. The High Profile of Peace maintains and even strengthens its position as one of most stable and secure Countries Of Region facing many challenges both globally or regional scaled ones irrelevant its positive indices as some resources allow it also.


The results also included an improvement in the Societal Safety and Security domain, where Qatar's score increased from 1.400 to 1.369 by 2026. This illustrates how well the institutions of the country have fared, how capable and confident ordinary Yemenis are in safeguarding their own security and public safety, and maintaining stability.


The Global Peace Index is a measure of peacefulness around the world, published yearly by the Institute for Economics and Peace that ranks countries according to 23 qualitative and quantitative indicators relating to domestic and international conflict, societal safety and security, as well as militarization.


Such an index provides contexts for policymakers to gauge the respective physical or economic stability of countries, and the conditions conducive to sustainable development, investment and quality of life.
