The State of Qatar has reaffirmed its commitment to regional security by participating in the 19th meeting of the GCC Unified Terrorist List Committee, held on 5 August 2026 at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) headquarters in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Qatar was represented by the National Counter-Terrorism Committee, with the delegation headed by Brigadier Khalid Ali Al Kaabi, Secretary of the National Counter-Terrorism Committee.


Focus on Strengthening GCC Counter-Terrorism Cooperation

During the meeting, representatives from GCC member states discussed several agenda items aimed at enhancing cooperation and coordination in counter-terrorism efforts across the region. The discussions focused on improving joint mechanisms and strengthening collective security initiatives.


Recommendations Adopted

The committee concluded the meeting by adopting the appropriate recommendations to further reinforce collaboration among GCC member states in combating terrorism and enhancing regional stability.
