Arab Billiards and Snooker Championship
The Qatar national team won three medals, one gold and two silvers at the end of the Arab Billiards and Snooker Championship hosted by the Saudi capital Riyadh for ten days, with the participation of players and champions from 12 Arab countries.
The gold medal came in the 10-ball billiards team competition, where the Qatari team consisting of the trio Ali Al Obaidly, Abdul Latif Fawal and Meshaal Turki won the title after defeating Kuwaiti team in the final match 3-0.
The first silver medal was won by Qatari team consisting of the trio Ahmed Saif, Muhanna Al Obaidly and Bashar Hussein in the snooker competition for teams after losing in the final match 1-2 against Iraq.
The second silver medal for Qatar went to Bashar Hussein in the men's singles snooker competition after losing 2-4 against UAE Khaled Al Kamali in the final match.
