Qatar condemns Israeli airstrikes, reaffirms solidarity with Lebanon

The State of Qatar has issued a firm condemnation of the Israeli airstrikes that targeted wide areas across Lebanon, describing them as heinous acts that resulted in hundreds of deaths and injuries.

In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs characterized the strikes as a grave escalation and a flagrant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty, international humanitarian law, and United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.

The Ministry called on the international community to assume its responsibilities by compelling Israel to halt its repeated attacks and massacres, and to ensure compliance with international laws and charters.

Qatar reaffirmed its full solidarity with Lebanon, supporting the measures taken to preserve its security and stability. The statement underscored Qatar’s unwavering position on Lebanon’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, stressing that such principles remain fundamental to regional peace.
