Arab Finance Ministers Council Meetings
HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari participated in the opening session of the Arab Monetary Fund's joint annual meetings of financial authorities, and the 14th meeting of the Arab Finance Ministers Council. The meetings took place in Rabat in the Kingdom of Morocco.
The session reviewed the most important regional and international economic developments and the challenges facing the Arab economies.
The ministers discussed several topics and working papers, including: "Issues of Improving the Performance of Government Institutions and Companies" presented by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and "Sustainability of Debt to Face Exposure to Shocks" presented by the Arab Monetary Fund.
The Arab League, Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, and Arab executive directors at the IMF and the World Bank attended the meeting as observers.
It should be noted that the Arab Monetary Fund has assumed the functions of the Council's secretariat since its inception.
