Qatar Marks the Largest Balloon Parade in the Region
The Doha Corniche hosted the largest balloon parade in the region with many beloved characters flying over the corniche, marking the opening of the region's first giant balloon parade after it got cancelled on Tuesday, May 3rd, for bad weather.Â
Along with the balloon parade, festival-goers saw video game characters, cartoons, and films such as Angry Birds, Minions, and Super Mario.
A large number of people were in attendance at the festival. The highly anticipated parade took place on Wednesday evening.Â
Kids were excited to see the balloons as they saw their favorite characters come to life.Â
The fireworks display lit up the sky at 9 pm, and spectators cheered. Today marks the last day of the festival.Â
Many festival-goers, who came with their friends and families, were amazed by the fireworks display and the giant balloon parade.Â
The festival hosts activities for various age groups. Local marching bands roam around the venue to greet all the visitors.Â
Carnival games and an inflatable play area for children, and food stalls are available for all visitors to see.Â
Fans of Saudi Arabian singer and composer Sultan Khalifa will have the opportunity to witness his show tonight, after singers Mahmoud Al Turkey and Nasser Al Kubaisi entertained the audience for the first two days.
