Marine warning in Qatar
The Meteorology Department has announced that the country will be affected by strong northerly winds beginning Monday, April 20, and continuing through the end of the week. The winds are expected to range from fresh to strong, prompting marine warnings across Qatari waters.
Officials cautioned that sea conditions will be hazardous, with wave heights forecast between 4–7 feet, occasionally rising to 11 feet. The department urged the public to avoid marine activities during the warning period, stressing that safety must remain the priority.
The advisory highlights the persistence of unstable weather patterns throughout the week, with maritime operators and residents advised to closely monitor official updates and heed precautionary guidance.
