Qatar launches 'Palestine Duty' aid campaign for Gaza
The Qatar Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) has initiated the 'Palestine Duty' relief campaign in collaboration with the Qatar Red Crescent Society and Qatar Charity to aid those affected by the devastating conflict in Gaza.
According to a statement released on Saturday, RACA's campaign aligns with Qatar's steadfast support for the people of Palestine.
RACA intends to utilize donations to procure critical supplies including medications, food, emergency shelters, clothing, water, hygiene products, and essential supplies for children and women in Gaza.
Highlighting the severity of the situation in Gaza, RACA emphasized the urgent need for life-saving aid, expressing concerns about the potential impact on an entire generation of children due to the current conditions of disease and famine.
On December 18, Qatar's National Day, the campaign will be broadcast live from donation sites at the Cultural Village Foundation in Katara, Souq Waqif, and Darb Al Saai in Umm Salal, as per the statement.
Alongside RACA's efforts, Qatar Charity (QC) introduced the 'Launching 10 Aid Aircraft For Palestine' initiative within its 'One Heart' winter campaign.Â
QC's objective was to provide support to individuals in the Gaza Strip through gifts and cash donations ahead of the winter season in the occupied territory.
