Qatar Foundation to Host Harvard Model Congress Middle East 2027

Doha: Qatar Foundation’s Academic Bridge Program (ABP) has announced that it will host Harvard Model Congress Middle East (HMCME) 2027 from January 14 to 16, 2027, at Education City, building on the success of the inaugural Qatar edition held earlier this year.

Early registration for the conference is now open and will continue until August 15, 2026, inviting high school students from Qatar and around the world to take part in one of the region’s leading academic and leadership events.

Held under the theme ā€œProgress Under Pressure,ā€ the three-day conference will immerse participants in the roles of policymakers, legislators, and diplomats as they debate some of the world’s most pressing political, economic, and social issues. Students will be encouraged to develop innovative solutions while sharpening their analytical and decision-making skills.

Organised by Harvard University, the conference offers an interactive learning experience focused on government, public policy, diplomacy, and international relations. Delegates will participate in legislative committee simulations, debates, negotiations, workshops, seminars, and leadership activities designed to strengthen public speaking, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.

The event reflects Qatar Foundation’s commitment to providing world-class educational opportunities that prepare young people for higher education and future leadership roles. By bringing together students from diverse backgrounds, the congress also promotes cross-cultural dialogue, global citizenship, and a deeper understanding of international affairs.

The 2027 edition follows the successful launch of Harvard Model Congress Middle East in Doha in 2026, which attracted students from Qatar and several countries across the region and beyond. The conference has since become a key platform for nurturing future leaders through experiential learning and international collaboration.
