Doha - July 19, 2026: Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a strongly statement on Saturday, July 18, condemning renewed attacks by Iran against Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait, describing them as a serious breach of international law and regional sovereignty.

In the statement, Doha said it condemns in the strongest terms the renewed attacks launched by Iran against the territories of Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait, calling them a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the targeted countries, and a blatant breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness.

The ministry affirmed that targeting electricity and water desalination plants in Kuwait crosses all red lines and constitutes an egregious violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2817, which emphasizes respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of these countries and rejects targeting civilians and vital infrastructure.

Qatari officials also warned of the broader risks posed by the continuing exchanges. The ministry noted that the continuation of such attacks represents a dangerous escalation that would further complicate efforts to contain tensions and undermine political and diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving security and stability in the region.

The ministry emphasized the necessity of sparing the region the consequences of these attacks, continuing on the path of dialogue and diplomacy, and de-escalating in a manner that contributes to consolidating security and stability at both the regional and international levels. It also renewed Qatar's full solidarity with Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait, expressing support for any measures the three countries take to preserve their sovereignty and security.

The statement comes against the backdrop of a broader U.S.–Iran conflict that has persisted for months, with fighting reportedly continuing into recent weeks and regional states repeatedly caught in the fallout. Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued similar condemnations of attacks on neighboring Gulf states on multiple occasions in recent weeks, reflecting mounting concern over the trajectory of the conflict.
