The Qatari beach handball team defeated Uruguay(2-0) on Friday, as part of the first stage of the world tour, which is held in Brazil with the participation of six teams and continues until May 12.

This is the third victory for the Qatari team after defeating the Argentina in its opening match (2-1), then defeating US (2-0) in the third match, and lost (0-2) to Germany.

On Saturday, Qatar will face Brazil at the end of the first round matches.

The Qatari duo were crowned champions of the World Beach Handball Tour last year after winning the final match of the fourth and final stage, which was held in Doha, over Brazil (2-1).
