FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022
The Official Spokesman for the Government Communications Office (GCO) Dr. Mohammed bin Nuwaymi Al Hajri announced Wednesday the details of the Cabinet's decisions regarding the work system in government agencies, the details of the work system in the educational institutions, and the arrangements for Doha Corniche during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and its accompanying events.
The GCO Official Spokesman said that according to the Cabinet's decision to organize the workflow in various government institutions during the activities of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, starting from Tuesday, Nov. 1, until Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, the following will be done: First - Government agencies: - Reducing the number of employees present in the workplaces of government agencies to 20 percent of the total number of employees at the entity, while 80 percent will continue their work remotely.
- The working hours according to the new system are from 7:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
- The military, security, health and educational sectors are excluded from these decisions, with an emphasis that the vital sectors of the country will not be affected.
- Doha Corniche is to be allocated for pedestrians to ensure the continuation of the events accompanying the World Cup.
Second - Education sector: - Working hours in public and private schools during the period from Nov. 1-17 will be as follow: The working hours for public and private schools that apply national standards to be from 7:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
Students school hours and employees working hours at public and private schools to be from 7:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
Mid-Term holiday to be from Nov. 20 until Dec. 22, 2022.
Third - Private sector international companies: Continue with its regular schedule during the World Cup.
