The airline has also made available over 200 tonnes of daily cargo capacity into Doha, across the globe including Africa, Australia, Asia, Europe, India and Pakistan and other international origins. With limited operating corridors confirmed by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QACC) and temporary authorisation granted for cargo flights to be operated in these corridors, Qatar Airways is conducting cargo flights in these corridors, providing local suppliers, traders and businesses with a means of keeping essential supplies flowing into Qatar.

As a direct consequence of these changing dynamics on their operations, part of Qatar Airways fleet with 30 Boeing 777 Freighter aircraft was also diverted to ensure that essential goods are delivered into the Market efficiently by assisting per week even under voluminous operational environment conditions while maintaining those originally used for transporting essential goods including every commodity goods were prioritised to be transferred safely and quickly at less complex methods for smooth supply of general opportunities in this aspect across the common citizens and residents appealing across sectors as necessary goods commodity by Qatar Airways.

Since 1 March, Qatar Airways has taken all steps to successfully deliver essential goods needed into the country and transported nearly 300 tonnes of vital cargo into Qatar under the “Qatar Airways Cargo – Transporting The World” operation, including pharmaceutical medicines, baby formula products, fresh food such as meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, medical equipment and other important food items.

Specialised cargo handling capabilities at Qatar Airways guarantee that shipments are delivered to the highest operational and quality standards. Pharmaceuticals and fresh produce are time /temperature-sensitive commodities that are transported in a controlled temperature environment to preserve their integrity between origin and when they arrive into Doha.

Continues to closely monitor developments in this situation and will make necessary adjustments to its operations and capacity as required, reiterating its pledge of support for the State of Qatar.

Following the closure of Qatari airspace on 28 February, Qatar Airways has been doing its part to support the State of Qatar by facilitating continued imports into the country.
