HE Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) President Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani met Wednesday with International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) President Fabio Azevedo.
HE QOC Secretary-General Jassim bin Rashid Al Buainain was in attendance.
The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation between the two sides and mechanisms for developing the sport in the State of Qatar.
The QOC affirmed its commitment to enhancing cooperation with the FIVB and implementing the FIVB Strategic Plan 2032 themed 'Together as One' to enhance the global volleyball movement.
HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani hailed Doha's hosting of the 2024 Beach Pro Tour Finals and its impact on amplifying the popularity of the sport and raising its technical and skill standards among all age groups in the Middle East region.
