QMD: Region likely to witness thundery rain and strong wind

According to the latest weather report by Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD), the region is likely to witness thundery rain and strong winds at places. The weather inshore until 6 in the evening on Tuesday will be hazy to misty at places at first, and then becomes hot during the day with local clouds and chances of rain is also expected. The weather offshore is likely to be hazy at times.

The detailed forecast further stated that the wind inshore will be northeasterly to southeasterly 05 to 15 knot reaches 25 knot during thundery rain.

The wind offshore is expected to be southeasterly to northeasterly 05 to 15 knot, reaches to 18 knot in eastern areas at first.

QMD added that visibility will be 4 to 9/3 kilometer or less at places at times.

Sea state inshore will be 1 to 2 feet, rises to 3 feet at times, while offshore it will be 2 to 4 feet, rises to 5 feet in eastern areas at first.
