Cannes Film Festival
Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development announced Sunday that the musical theater film "Showtime" won two awards from Cannes International Film Festival in the social media and short films categories.
Showtime won an award from Ofcom in London in the categories of cinematography, sound, and directing, and a prize at the New York Festival for short films.
The film's soundtrack was provided by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, a member of the Qatar Foundation.
It is noteworthy that Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development presented the film "Showtime" to promote creativity in the field of performing arts and enriching theatrical and musical performances in pre-university schools in the foundation.
