Doha International Book Fair
Doha, May 14 (QNA) - HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani opened on Thursday the 35th Doha international book fair, which will take place until May 23 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.
With 910 booths of publishing houses from 37 countries, the exhibition gathers local, regional and global literary and cultural products.
A number of Their Excellencies sheikhs, ministers, heads of diplomatic missions, senior officials and guests participating in the fair attended the opening ceremony.
At his tour, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs visited several pavilions displaying publications from Qatari, Arab and international publishing houses as well as latest issues, manuscripts and cultural works since presented by the Ministry of Culture, governmental bodies and participating culture institutions.
His Excellency also announced the launch of This Is Qatar book, as part of the 35th Doha International Book Fair's Guest of Honor initiative.
